Finally, taking a specific part as an example, the basic operation process of the machining parts of the CNC EDM wire-cutting machine is explained, so that students have a clear understanding of the operation of the CNC EDM wire-cutting machine.
Project 1 machine operation panel and its functional application
The operation panel of the CNC EDM wire-cutting machine also includes the control panel and the hand-controlled box panel, which are similar to the fast-moving wire-cutting machine. However, due to the one-way operation of the wire, there is no storage tube, and the operation panel of the storage tube is no longer provided.
Project two boot
The boot procedure is as follows:
1. Close the main power switch.
2. Press the button on the control panel to start the CNC system and machine tool.
Project three wire installation
Referring to the threading route shown in Fig. 1, the wire head of the coiled wire on the traction wire bobbin passes through the compacting drum, the drum, the guide wheel, the constant tension control wheel, the upper wire guide, the workpiece and the lower electrode. Wire guide to the wire reel. Adjust the servo motor constant tension control device within a certain range to keep the electrode wire at a certain tension and operate stably.
For the slow wire EDM wire cutting process, the distance can be used for close-cut machining, even if the distance between the upper guide and the workpiece is as close as possible (about 0.05 to 0.10 mm), so as to avoid the excessively large amplitude of the wire due to the long distance, which affects the processing quality of the workpiece.
After the wire is installed, the verticality should be corrected. The calibration method is the same as that of the fast wire EDM.
Project four workpiece installation
The bridge fixtures, wire verticality inspection tools, rotary table, CNC rotary table and other machine tool accessories and tools used in the fast wire cutting machine can also be applied on the slow wire cutting machine.
In recent years, the wire-cutting reference clamping system has adopted a universal clamping fixture and alignment tool, which can quickly and accurately complete the alignment and clamping of the workpiece with very simple operation, and is widely used on the wire-cutting machine. ,as shown in picture 2.
Item 5 program input
According to the requirements of the machine operation manual, the program operation for generating the workpiece cutting is completed by switching between different operation modules, inputting the machining program with the keyboard or directly calling the existing program and loading the memory. Before executing the program, run the program simulation once to check the running status of the program to avoid adverse consequences after actual processing. Then press the ENT key to execute the entered program and machine the part.
Project six program operation
Small and multiple cutting methods should be used for wire cutting. Due to the reduction of the deformation of the workpiece material during the wire cutting process, the workpiece machining accuracy and the surface quality can be effectively improved, so that a margin can be left in the roughing or semi-finishing to compensate for the deformation of the material due to the original stress balance state being destroyed. And the machining allowance required for the last finishing, when the final finishing, you can get a satisfactory processing effect.
Project seven parts inspection
At the end of processing, the parts are removed and the relevant processing parameters are detected.
Project eight shutdown
The shutdown steps are as follows:
1. Move the workbench to the middle position of each axis;
2. Press the red emergency stop button;
3. Pull down the main power switch and turn off the power;
4. Disconnect the external line.
